Among other things, look into the requirements of the pump/sprayer you'll be using. If you're spraying 6 yards an hour, for example, make sure you can produce that much if you roll your own. If you go that route, you'll need trucks on that same driveway delivering sand and aggregate.
Our driveway was steep and narrow, so we had the company out to check it and approve it before ordering trucks. Went with a smaller truck than typical. Had to use a smaller load because with a full truck, the concrete would spill out the back on the steep sections.
So, get an opinion from the plant, check the specs of your pump, and factor that in when analyzing the decision.
