Monitoring internal gases

Postby Don M » Thu Nov 25, 2010 5:12 pm

With respect to well sealed buildings resulting in a desire to monitor the internal air, has anyone found an oxygen meter of reasonable quality and cost. I'm also interested in a Co2 (carbon dioxide) meter. Which units seem to be working out the best for this application.

Thanks

We have been using CO2 meters for quite a while not only for homes but also for schools. The meters were about $800 each. They are now down around $150 to $200. Your comments have me thinking I will try and find a good one and put it on our website. I have one on my desk that I monitor.

They will change your life as you realize what happens to you. The oxygen content in your house does not change much but the CO2 will change dramatically. That is why we suggest you always have an ERV on you home. If you have only 1 or 2 people you probably do not need one.
