Fires in Conifer CO

Living in Monolithic Domes is a unique experience! How did you arrange your furniture? What did you do with a second floor loft with low curved ceilings? How did you landscape? Who did your kitchen cabinets?

Fires in Conifer CO

Anyone hear if the Garlock dome in Conifer was in the fire path? http://www.monolithic.com/stories/garlock-residence-conifer-colorado
Its a great looking dome and My wife and I visited it when we where making up our minds to build a dome home or not.

From what I can gather on the web, it looks like the fire was on the other side of US 285, about 5-8 miles directly SW of Conifer.

Garlock Dome is about 2-3 miles directly NW of Conifer.

It was a controlled burn that started the fire.
